PRESIDENT OF FARMERS INSURANCE HAWAII INDUCTED INTO UH SHIDLER COLLEGE OF BUSINESS HALL OF HONOR
HONOLULU – The University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business Administration has named Michele Saito, president of Farmers Insurance Hawaii, a recipient of its Hall of Honor Award.
Through the Hall of Honor Awards, the Shidler College of Business recognizes top business professionals for their achievements and contributions to the growth and education of the business community. The college chooses to bestow this prestigious distinction upon a select few alumni each year who represent the very best in business.
Upon receiving the Hall of Honor Award, Michele Saito said, "I am honored to be a recipient of the Shidler College of Business Administration Hall of Honor Award," said Michele Saito. "I am grateful to the Shidler College for providing the education I received, which has shaped my career and made me into who I am today."
Saito earned her bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Hawaii in 1981 and is a certified public accountant. Saito has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and oversees the Farmers Insurance Hawaii Family of Companies. She serves as a board member for the University of Hawaii Alumni Association, Hawaii Pacific University, Aloha United Way, Child and Family Service, Hawaii Medical Service Association, Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, and Hawaii Property Insurance Association. Saito also volunteers as a troop leader and treasurer for the Girl Scouts of Hawaii.
