Temporary Disability Insurance
Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI), like worker’s compensation, is a "wage replacement" program. While it does not include medical care, it does partially replace the wages lost by employees through off-the-job sickness or injury.
Employers are required to provide TDI, or sick leave benefits, to employees who are unable to work because of a disability. And the State of Hawaii makes sure that every employer covered by the law provides benefits for their employees.
To ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements of the Temporary Disability Insurance in Hawaii, we can review your workplace operation and provide a TDI plan that works for you and your employees.
This program is marketed through appointed general agents. For more information, please contact an appointed general agent from this list.
