AIG HAWAII OFFICIALLY BECOMES FARMERS INSURANCE HAWAII
Marking a new chapter in Hawaii’s insurance industry, Farmers Insurance Hawaii celebrated its official name change with a blessing and unveiling of its new signage at the company’s headquarters in Honolulu. The company has been a part of Hawaii’s history for 55 years and the name change reflects its new ownership under national insurer Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, which purchased AIG Hawaii in July 2009.
"We're ringing in 2010 as Farmers Insurance Hawaii, and this blessing symbolizes a new beginning and fresh start for our company," said Michele Saito, Chief Operating Officer. "We're pleased to begin serving our customers as Farmers Insurance Hawaii, providing our same trusted service with a local touch," Michele said.
Over the past few months, AIG Hawaii made a seamless transition to becoming Farmers Insurance Hawaii. Farmers Insurance Hawaii remains committed to its customers and Hawaii operations, maintaining all of its Hawaii-based services and ensuring that all of its branches statewide will remain open and fully staffed to serve customers’ needs.
